Soleus 262

By Bart Preston & Jameson King

Watches are nothing new to the avid endurance athlete and many of us own several. Soleus is a new brand in the industry, but they know what they are doing and have a winner in their new 262. I like this watch primarily for all of the things that it’s not. It’s not over complicated, or difficult to use. It has a screen that is extremely easy to view (which Soleus touts as the “largest viewing area on the market”), it’s lightweight and simple to operate. The buttons also work well without having to use too much force to change modes as I have experienced with other timepieces over the years. This really is a “runner’s watch,” and is marketed as such. The 262 is accompanied by the 131 ($75) and 10K ($55) models, which come in two sizes (regular and large), different colors, and slightly different functionality.
